| Who We Are |
|
Founded in 1990, EIA is the nation’s leading trade association representing more than 300 rapidly growing and diverse organizations serving families, communities and schools. EIA members include:
This diversity comprises the vibrant preK-12 education industry. EIA is the industry’s leading collective voice, and provides the framework for individual education entrepreneurs and corporate executives, together with public school leaders, to work together to promote effective models for transforming teaching and learning. Because our focus is ultimately on helping all students achieve college and career readiness, we seek mutually respectful relationships with parents, state and local school administrators/school boards, the civil rights community and teachers. We also work with our partners in post secondary education to facilitate the transition to college and to the workplace. The education industry is poised for explosive growth in all of its segments from preK-12 through post-secondary education. In fact, education is rapidly becoming a $1 trillion industry, second in size only to the health care industry, and represents 10 percent of America’s GNP. Federal, state and local expenditures on education exceed $750 billion. |
Since 1990, the EIA has worked to expand business opportunities for education entrepreneurs of all sizes in preK-12 markets. Benefits include federal-state-local advocacy, public relations support, professional development, peer-to-peer networking and much more. To join >
